Meet Captain Jake Kline

Captain Jake has spent his entire life fishing and diving off of the coast of New Jersey. While specializing in striper fishing and "run and gun" style tuna fishing, Jake is willing to target any species you desire to catch. His passion and ambition for fishing is unparalleled. From filling a cooler with black seabass to catching trophy bluefin tuna, Captain Jake will give it everything he's got to meet and exceed your expectations. In the unlikely event of a slow day fishing, his outgoing personality and sense of humor will surely keep you entertained.

OUR SERVICES

Inshore/ Coastal Fishing

Whether you're looking to stock the freezer or simply enjoy a day on the water, On The Rocks will cater to all your desires. Targeted inshore species include striped bass, bluefish, fluke, seabass and tautog.

Midshore/ Offshore Fishing

From June through October various species of pelagic fish migrate into our waters such as, Yellowfin tuna, Bluefin tuna, Bigeye tuna, Mahi Mahi, Marlin and Swordfish. During these months anglers have a chance at witnessing breathtaking feeds of whales, porpoise and very often, hungry pelagics. Join us for an offshore experience you may never forget.

Additional Information

  • Our captains and mates work very hard to ensure a safe and successful trip. 20% the total cost of the trip is the industry standard for gratuity and is highly appreciated by our captains and mates ( if satisfied of course)

  • All fishing trips include rod/reels, bait and tackle etc.(Ask your captain before bringing your own gear)

  • All fish kept will be professionally filleted by the captain or mate at the dock.

  • Bags and ice are provided if you wish to take home your catch.

  • If your planning on keeping fish to take home, bring a cooler! 

  • The sun can turn a great day on the water into a painful experience if not prepared. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended, especially during summer months. 

  • Check in with your captain before your trip to ask about personal bags and coolers for lunches, drinks and snacks as some boats are limited to space.

Safety

  • No illegal drugs, paraphernalia or contraband allowed on ANY Vessels.

  • Beer and wine is permitted on all vessels, Hard Alcohol is ONLY permitted on cruising and pleasure trips.

  • Alcohol consumption should be within its respective limits. There is ZERO tolerance for drunk and disorderly. If the captain deems a passenger to be intoxicated, the trip may be cancelled with no refund.

  • All children under 13 are mandated by United States Coast Guard to wear a life jacket at all times on the vessel. Your captain will provide life jackets or you may bring your own.

Refunds

  • Our captains and mates are on the water  9 months out of the year or more, please trust their judgement regarding weather and conditions.

  • Refunds for unsafe weather and poor fishing conditions are at the captains discretion.

  • Refunds are only issued for cancellations made atleast 96 hours (4 Days) prior to the scheduled trip departure. Any cancellations made within 96 hours of the departure time will forfeit the deposit.
